Cantate Appeal 2011

Patrons' Message

We are proud to be honorary patrons of Cantate, and to support this appeal.

Each of us has strong connections with the area in which Cantate is rooted. Our own backgrounds across the performing arts, music composition, and the governance of our society, all relate to Cantate’s central vision.

We believe that Cantate offers a unique experience for its young members; not just in their singing and music-making, but in their personal development, in engendering a strong sense of community, and in bringing pleasure to a wide range of audiences locally, nationally and internationally.

Today’s economic environment is the most difficult in Cantate’s 17-year history. Cantate benefits enormously from committed volunteer help by parents and other supporters. This appeal will secure a future in which Cantate can continue to provide its unique musical and social experience to young people, regardless of their backgrounds, their financial circumstances, and their previous musical experience. We give it our full support, and we hope you will too.
